For 37 years, Revels, Inc. has produced well-researched, fully-staged, multicultural celebrations of the seasons which blend traditional music, dance and theatre. Our productions mix the professional with the amateur, the old with the young and the familiar with the unfamiliar in the process of building traditions and creating vital and enduring pockets of community.

Revels is now seeking candidates for the position of Revels Directing Fellow for its 2008-2009 season. Fellowships are full-time positions requiring residency in the Boston area and a ten-month commitment from September-June.

Stipend inclusive of all expenses: $25,000

Requirements: related academic degrees, substantial experience and demonstrated success in directing both large and small ensembles at a professional level, a musical ear, dramaturgical skills, a wide interest and knowledge of traditional music, dance and world theatre, a sense of humor, strong interpersonal communication, collaborative and mentoring skills, computer literacy and a clear writing style.

The Directing Fellow will assist the Artistic Director in stage direction, script research, and actor training.
