SummersDay Revels
Flag Project 2008
Contribute to a grand celebration
for everyone under the sun!
SummersDay Revels, a free outdoor intercultural festival to welcome in the summer season,
will take place on Boston’s waterfront at the Boston Children’s Museum and Fort Point Channel
on June 21st and 22nd from 4:00 p.m. to twilight. Multiple stages will offer a bountiful feast
of art, music, theater and dance. The Congress Street and Moakley Bridges will frame the festival
area, decked out with hundreds of silk flags. The children of greater Boston will decorate the
flags with Suns and Moons, in honor of the SummersDay Revels grand procession that kicks off
the events of each day.
Revels, in collaboration with the Boston Children’s Museum and at the Institute of
Contemporary Art (ICA), invites you to create Sun and Moon Flags for SummersDay Revels in special
workshops in April and May. The prices listed include the cost of museum admission.
