Revels is thrilled to return as a presenting partner at Gore Place’s Sheepshearing Festival – an all-day celebration of the start of spring! Revels performs a series of musical sets, featuring David Coffin and other musicians from the Revels community.
Since 1987, this annual event has entertained guests with music, 100+ craft and fiber artists, demonstrations of traditional shearing and herding dogs, and historic re-enactors on the beautiful grounds of this historic, 50-acre estate. People often tell us that spring doesn’t begin until the Sheepshearing Festival! According to Director of Farm and Landscape Operations, Scott Clarke, “We’re bringing back our visitors’ Festival favorites, like seeing traditional shearing techniques and dog herding demonstrations, and simply enjoying a great time outdoors with family and friends.”
Tickets are $25/person for ages 13 and older. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult and will be admitted free at the gate.
EBT/WIC Card to Culture cardholders can purchase $5, and may be asked to show their benefit card at the gate.
Gore Place members do not need to purchase tickets and will be admitted for free at the gate.
Make sure to check out Revels’ sets, featuring David Coffin performing an interactive musical program! Schedule information to come soon.
