This time of year Revels is especially grateful for the hundreds of volunteers who gift us with their time and talent in order to make Midwinter Revels happen. We couldn’t do it without you!! Perhaps you might help Revels by filling a volunteer shift or two. And you can enjoy the 2022 Midwinter Revels for free!

Job: This is a very important job, helping to keep everyone safe and things running smoothly backstage. We really appreciate any help you can give in covering the shifts.
Please be aware that all Security and Costume Volunteers need to have a criminal background check completed as part of Revels’ Youth Protection Policy. This will be completed separately by email with Revels staff. We appreciate your help with this. Please arrive 2.5 hours before the performance and plan to stay 1/2 hour after the show ends. The show runs about 2.5 hours.
Once you sign up, we’ll send you more details about the free parking, what to do at the theater, etc.
Dates include: December 14-28
Time: Various shifts. Volunteers arrive 2.5 hours before the performance and plan to stay 1/2 hour after the show ends.
Security volunteers will receive tickets for themselves and one guest to attend the Midwinter Revels dress rehearsal performance on Thursday, Dec. 15th, 7:30pm.


The Backstage Screeners will ask cast, crew and volunteers to do a Covid attestation (you know the questions – you’ve heard them a million times!) Please arrive 2.5 hours before the performance to allow for training. Your shift will end soon after the show begins.

Job: Help load props, set pieces, etc. into Sanders Theatre.
Load In: Sunday, December 11
Time: 9am – 1pm
Load In volunteers can receive tickets for themselves and one guest to attend Midwinter Revels dress rehearsal performance on Thursday, December 15th, at 7:30pm
Job: Help load props, set pieces, etc. out of Sanders Theatre and into the truck.
Days: Wednesday, December 28
Time: 2pm – 7pm
Location: Sanders Theatre
Load Out volunteers can receive tickets for themselves and one guest to attend the Midwinter Revels dress rehearsal performance on Thursday, December 15th, at 7:30pm.


Job: Help sell books and recordings in the lobby before and after Midwinter Revels performances. Volunteers MUST arrive 1½ hours before the performance to allow enough time to arrive, park, check in, go to the restroom, etc. so that you can be at the sales tables, ready to train one hour before showtime.
Sales occur before the show and at the end of the show. We’ll do our best to find you a seat, but if none are available you can stand in the back to watch the show. (There is a lot of standing during this job).
Once you sign up, we’ll send you more details about the free parking, what to do at the theater, etc.

Job: Sell raffle tickets before and at the end of the Midwinter Revels performance. The show runs about 2.5 hours minutes. An outgoing and friendly personality is helpful! Thank you for helping with this important fundraiser to support Revels!

Job: Help with costume repairs, sewing and ironing during the Midwinter Revels performances. ***Experience with hand sewing and ironing is required!*** Please arrive 2.5 hours before the performance and be prepared to stay until after the performance ends. The show runs about 2.5 hours.
