Celebrating 250 years of American spirit by honoring Concord’s leading role in the birth of our country!
The 250th anniversary of the historic battles of Concord and Lexington is approaching on April 19, 2025. Concord250 commemorates the semi-quincentennial, or 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, which began here in New England. Two hundred fifty years ago, the men and women of what is now Massachusetts secured their independence from Britain and created a new nation dedicated to the ideals of liberty, equality, natural and civil rights, and responsible citizenship. Concord250 honors our first 250 years and inspires Americans to imagine our next 250. To mark this significant anniversary, residents, friends, and neighbors of Concord are invited to commemorate and celebrate this anniversary throughout the entire year.

In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the historic battle of Concord, the Concord Scout House is proudly offering an afternoon and evening of stories, dance, song, and historical exhibitions with family-friendly entertainment on Saturday April 19, 2025.
Throughout the day, exhibitions will include demonstration of historic letterpress printing. Broadsides: News, prose and verse from Colonial America, History of the Concord, Scout House (the Historic Stow Barn), Colonial-themed Children’s Books, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts in Concord and a card making activity for veterans with the Daughters of the American Revolution.

2:00 – 2:45 PM: Indigenous Drumming with Dr. Claudia Fox Tree

7:30 – 8:30 PM: Outdoor concert and town-wide drone show at the Concord Museum

Transportation and Parking
Public Transportation: Due to road closures and limited parking, public transportation is strongly encouraged. There will be increased service on the Commuter Rail Fitchburg Line. The area is also serviced by multiple bus routes, although bus routes will be affected by roadway closures. Learn more here.
Parking
Satellite parking lots will be available throughout the Concord area. These lots will be serviced by the Satellite Parking Shuttle. There are also specific downtown lots designated for handicap parking. Special permits may be required to park in these lots. Learn more about parking here.
