Shauwna has been a stage manager in the Greater Boston area since graduating from Rhode Island College in 2015. She has worked with companies such as Speakeasy Stage, Brown Box Theater Project, Emerson College, Opera del West, and Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, among others, but she has spent by far the most time at Greater Boston Stage Company, in Stoneham, which she considers her theatrical “home.” In addition to stage management and all manner of deck crew work, she also loves theater education and has worked with The Young Company at GBSC many times as a stage manager, props coordinator, production manager, and workshop teacher. Her favorite shows to work on tend to be musicals – she even has tattoos to represent her favorite Broadway show (Hadestown), and her favorite Disney musical (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)! In her spare time, she loves writing fiction, taking dance classes, and cooking yummy vegan food.
